The fascination with… Jared Leto.

This is probably the most fangirlish thing I ever wrote. But hey - I guess we all just have to speak out our fascination for someone in public at least once.
I’ve once promised myself to not use the word “love” in one phrase with the name Jared Leto. If I had to find some words to describe him, they would probably be confusion, astonishment, respect. Inspiration. Disbelief?

I still can’t get my mind around a lot of things regarding Jared.
The most obvious thing which is extremely outstanding about him, are his looks – I don’t think many people will deny me when I say that. How extraordinary beautiful he is - both his face and his body. The piercing blue eyes he has. The fact he doesn’t seem to age, which sounds like quite a bit of a joke, but which is something that really makes me wonder sometimes. Sometimes I see a picture of him and I don’t even know what to think or say. Like he’s the definition of human perfection. Something I just can not assume – not accept because my eyes seem to betray me.

The disbelief gets actually way stronger when you get to know more about him. When you find out what kind of artistic genius he is. He’s an artists in so many ways, and the extraordinary thing about it, is that he succeeds in everything he does. He’s one of the few people that acts and plays in a band and gets away with it. He’s respected as both an actor and a musician. But ‘insiders’ know that he’s also a genius director, graphic artist, photographer… What can’t he do, actually?



Going even further – Jared as the person he is. I obviously do not know him personally – but what I do know is that he is a person that does actually care about things. There’s a lot of famous people that just let everything happen without ever noticing what’s going on.  It wonders me how incredibly attentive Jared is. The way he’s listening when he’s being interviewed, even though the questions may have been asked him a thousand times before. The way he looks at people when they are talking to him. The way he looks at the world – even at the smallest things. He is so incredibly alive. I’m not sure who mentioned that word when describing him before, but it’s the perfect way to cover him.
The way he remembers things. The way he can tell exactly what his band is up to in the next months. Even if they have been doing three hundred shows in the past two years. He never lost attention.

He’s one of those men that can come out for loving animals without sounding really gay.

And it wonders me how he is still single. But on the other hand it seems so obvious – like he is just too much of a genius to actually handle.
Sometimes it’s like sex is all he thinks about. (It’s what he makes us think about a lot, at least.) But honestly; I don’t think Jared is an easy person to love. As if he is just… too much. I could not exactly say too much of what.

There are moments that I just look at him and think: how do you even exist? How is it possible you are as perfect as you are? He’s so incomprehensible – I can not describe him in just a few words. I could not even describe him if I had a whole book to write about him.

And then I realize how insane all of this sounds. The way I describe him as if he were some kind of God to me. But well – maybe he is? Maybe he could be the one that made a change in the world? If only people would be open for it. Would recognize it. That’s what’s so amazing about the fandom around 30 Seconds to Mars – the Echelon, the ones that are open for changes. The fact they made us part of their story.

I do not actually think he is perfect. But I am pretty sure, he’s coming very close to as perfect as a human can be.
